No. The Law Enforcement Academy Baldwin County does not hold any basic academies for APOSTC certifications. We host continued education courses to allow certified law enforcement officers to get there required continuing education hours that are required annually.

LEABC offers a variety of course work provided by accredited companies and instructors for the certified law enforcement officer. Some of these courses are free to the agency/officer while some courses have a registration cost depending on the course provider.

Registration for DMT is handled through the Alabama Department of Forensic Science’s website. We host DMT courses for new operators but the recertification course is now solely online. See our “Upcoming Courses” to see if a “DMT New Operator Course” is scheduled.
